Context

Project consisting in imagining a game from A to Z and creating the documentation. I wanted to specialise in production management, so in addition to a high concept document, I produced an EST and a market study.

Pitch : When Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney meet Love, death & robot.

Synopsis : From the Caribbean to the Russian steppes; from the 15th century to the 1980s; follow seven artist’s destinies as they create their work.

Summary

Narrative (only french)

 To illustrate my game concept, I decided to create the narrative documents for one level, the sixth, on the art of performing. I focused this level on classical dance, one of the practices reflecting this art. So first I wrote a scenario in three acts describing the story of the level, the first act being the introduction, the second what the player will experience, and the conclusion with the third.

I then wrote two cutscenes that would contain the level, the introductory one and the final one.

The inspirations to be unlocked to access the end mini-game had to make sense to imagine the level. So I set about writing a ballet to have the different scenes that would be in the work that Anastasia has to choreograph to turn some of them into a puzzle scattered throughout the level.

My different inspirations are presented with the story, the idea being to write a ballet inspired by the romantics of the second part of the 19th century, notably Tchaikovsky.

I've continued the development of the level with what amounts to a level design document where I present my research and show in more depth how I built the ballet.

I also detail the choice of previously written scenes that will lead to inspirations in the level and how to solve the puzzles that unlock them.

Finally I present the ending mini-game with all the chosen dance steps and how to play them.

Finally, I made the level in Twine to continue to try my hand at writing situations and dialogue.
